Submarine-to-shore interfaces needed to be defined and shore infrastructure changes implemented whilst synchronising with a hugely complex stakeholder community that spanned Defence. This required maturing interfaces with boat and shore system owners as well as multiple Defence authorities and suppliers.
By establishing productive relationships across stakeholder networks, the Requirements & Acceptance Management Plan was agreed allowing the taxonomy, functional modelling, physical modelling and requirements to be elicited.
Effective engagement across the value chain ensured rapid decisions could be made on trading, suppliers prepared early to manufacture systems, site construction coordinated with the naval bases, and consistent information shared to assure that the client's £100M+ of risk exposure was being fully managed for strategic sites across the World.
